Toolkit_154565_ccStudent Partnership Toolkit – updated 7 September

The CAN Network has undertaken valuable work in analysing and giving guidance on models for student engagement with technology. This has led to the formation of a range of resources and effective practice guides for institutions wishing to set up and implement staff-student partnerships, including case studies, effective practice points/top tips, a database of sector resources and a Student Partnerships Toolkit to support institutions in change processes associated with student partnership initiatives, based on the University of Ulster’s Viewpoints change framework.

‘Digital Student’ exemplars published online: Helen Beetham

Following a call from the Digital Student project for examples, Jisc is pleased to announce the publication of 50 short case studies in ‘enhancing the student digital experience’ in HE. These are available from the Digital Student website, organised according to the main challenges they address. A full list of exemplars can also be browsed on the site.

We were overwhelmed with the response to this project and with the number and quality of examples from across the sector. Thank you to everyone who has so generously shared your ideas and inspirations, including students who responded in your roles as digital change agents.

A couple of examples from FE Colleges have also been included, and we expect to add more as we near completion of the Digital Student study (FE and Skills) and repeat the process of identifying best practice. Jisc will also shortly be publishing an online guide to Enhancing the Student Digital Experience which draws on these examples.

Useful resources – postcards and posters – from the Digital Student consultation events, can be used to promote discussion about technology in colleges.
