Change Agents’ Network Conference 2017 at the University of Exeter

CAN2017The University of Exeter hosted the 5th annual Change Agents’ Network Conference,  supported by Jisc, on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st April 2017.

Day 1 and Day 2 resources will be available after the conference on separate pages but if you would like a flavour of the conference, have a look at the Storifies from Day 1 and Day 2.

Early feedback on the conference is available from the Epping Forest College students who participated, as well as well as participants Tim Leonard and John-Paul Dickie.

The theme of conference was ‘supporting effective partnerships’ and built on the successes of the previous CAN Conferences, with our keynotes involving students and staff in partnership; student-led sessions showcasing current practice around the conference themes; a student panel showcasing best practice and plenty of opportunities for networking. We are also offered an in-depth insight into how the University of Exeter has evolved its approaches to students as change agents.

We are aware of all the excellent practice taking place in colleges on working with students as partners/change agents/ambassadors and we had representation from FE and Skills at this event. You can view a short video from participants sharing their views of what they learnt from CAN 2017. Our thanks to Gus Ayling, from the University of Lincoln for producing this clip.

The conference featured a map of  the locations of staff-student partnerships that people shared as they registered at the conference (the images below are linked to the map). Photos of the wonderful graphic recording of the highlights of the conference created by Sandra Howgate will be available soon.
